Leadership Vallejo is one of the Bay Area’s premier leadership accelerators, because we see beyond the divisions and impediments by providing key insight and stimulating action. We bring together our most visionary Vallejoans across professions to unite them for a shared purpose: taking on Vallejo’s toughest challenges.

The Leadership Vallejo Curriculum Committee seeks projects that:

  • recognize and respond to a local need, with consideration for the lasting impact and benefit to the community; and

  • have SMART goals (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and timely).

Community Project Request

Is your nonprofit or community group in need of support?

We appreciate your interest to partner with Leadership Vallejo on a community-need project! Leadership Vallejo’s community projects are a key learning and networking tool for our participants. During the program, the class is divided into groups where they create and/or work on a project they feel will leave a positive impact in our community. They learn invaluable project management skills and work with key community leaders to get the project completed. Past projects include youth development, city beautification, resource fairs, critical response programs, a podcast and more.

After submitting, your request for project (RFP) will be reviewed by the Leadership Vallejo Curriculum Committee. By late-September you will be notified if your project is on the shortlist of approved projects for the Leadership Vallejo cohort. Upon selection, we will contact you for more details regarding the specifics of your request. Each June, the community projects will be honored at ‘Open House’ (our graduation ceremony). Submissions received after August 31 will be kept for future RFP considerations, but will not be considered for the upcoming class that starts in September.

Complete Leadership Vallejo’s RFP form (5-7 minutes) and perhaps a Leadership Team can help you accomplish your goals. Each team works on a project that leaves a lasting legacy in Vallejo.
